JOB DESCRIPTION

To work closely with existing and new suppliers and contractors in sourcing, negotiating and establishing discounted pricing on purchases orders to ensure timely project delivery.  The candidate must be able to work with our internal sales team and our clients to properly and accurately capture product requirements for residential and commercial build and renovation projects.  The ideal candidate must be able to determine appropriate buying quantity levels and pricing to maximize profitability.  The ideal candidate must work with both new and existing accounts with minimal supervision.   Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with clients, vendors, architects, designers and co-workers.  Must be self-motivated and driven to generate timely purchase orders.  Must be organized, and have a high attention to detail and be able to turn-around sourcing and POs in a quick, accurate and cost effective manner.

EXPERIENCE/MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years experience in the construction industry understanding, capturing, and documenting projects material requirements
  • history of working with suppliers and subcontractors
  • producing accurate purchase orders and estimates across project scope
  • work with vendors to produce accurate and timely estimates/quotations
  • source product and service offerings as needed for prospect project needs
  • experience using salesforce automation tools to understand buying needs for prospects
  • experience using word processing, spreadsheets, and Google Suite and BuilderTrend software
  • vehicle with valid drivers license
